The fixed assets (buildings, vehicles and equipment) are properly designed to meet in an absolute manner the requirements of the processes running all the production phases ensuring, as far as possible the reducuction of emissions of greenhouse gases.
So Geoplant, through the use of appropriate equipment and Re-engineering the processes of operation, managed to significantly reduce its energy footprint, fulfilling the target set in (2009-2010) for a total reduction of 17%.
The building materials are recyclable and environmentally friendly (iron - glass), and the cooling units do not deplete the ozone layer.
In 2010, Geoplant AEEGE completes a major investment in photovoltaic systems to meet the energy needs of the packing department, thus improving furthermore its energy efficiency
